How to interpret a site's status

First, look at the "Operational?" column.

• If the status is Yes, the site will take data except on the days and dates listed as planned non-operational
• If the status is Intermittent, the will will try to take data (except on the listed non-operational days and dates), but an issue may prevent acquisition of that data.
• If the status is No, the site is not currently taking data. Check back later to see if the site has resumed data.
• If the status is Replaced/retired, the site has been discontinued or moved. Note that this can mean a new instrument has taken over that location. (The three Lauder instruments - lh, ll, and lr - are an example of this.)

If the status was "Yes" or "Intermittent", check the "Typical Non-Operational Days" and "Planned Non-Operational Dates" columns. These columns will tell you, days of the week or date, respectively, that the site will not take data. These work together, so if a site listed "Sat Sun" for days and "2025-12-25 to 2025-12-26", then it will not take data on Saturdays, Sundays, or the 25th and 26th of December, 2025. Note that you should interpret these days and dates in local times for the site.
